Duration and pronunciation conditioned lexical modeling for speaker verification

چکیده
We propose a method to improve speaker recognition lexical model performance using acoustic-prosodic information. More specifically, the lexical model is trained using durationand pronunciation-conditioned word N-grams, simultaneously modeling lexical information along with their acoustic and prosodic characteristics. Support vector machines are used for modeling and scoring, with N-gram frequency vectors serving as features. Experimental results using NIST Speaker Recognition Evaluation data sets show that this method outperforms the regular word N-gram-based lexical models. Furthermore, our approach gives additional information when combined with a high-accuracy acoustic speaker model. We believe that this is a promising step toward integrated speaker recognition models that combine multiple types of high-level features.

Articulatory feature-based conditional pronunciation modeling for speaker verification
Because of the differences in education background, accents, etc., different persons have their unique way of pronunciation. This paper exploits the pronunciation characteristics of speakers and proposes a new conditional pronunciation modeling (CPM) technique for speaker verification. The proposed technique aims to establish a link between articulatory properties (e.g., manners and places of a...
متن کاملJoint Speaker and Lexical Modeling for Short-Term Characterization of Speaker
For speech utterances of very short duration, speaker characterization has shown strong dependency on the lexical content. In this context, speaker verification is always performed by analyzing and matching speaker pronunciation of individual words, syllables, or phones. In this paper, we advocate the use of hidden Markov model (HMM) for joint modeling of speaker characteristic and lexical cont...

Because of the differences in education background, accents, and so on, different persons have different ways of pronunciation. Therefore, the pronunciation patterns of individuals can be used as features for discriminating speakers. متن کاملMultiple-Pronunciation Lexical Modeling Based on Phoneme Confusion Matrix for Dysarthric Speech Recognition
In this paper, we propose speaker-dependent multiple-pronunciation lexical modeling for improving the performance of dysarthric automatic speech recognition (ASR). For each dysarthric speaker, a phoneme confusion matrix is first constructed from the results of phoneme recognition. Then, pronunciation variation rules are extracted by investigating the phoneme confusion matrix, and they are incor...
متن کاملSpeaker verification via articulatory feature-based conditional pronunciation modeling with vowel and consonant mixture models
Articulatory feature-based conditional pronunciation modeling (AFCPM) aims to capture the pronunciation characteristics of speakers by modeling the linkage between the states of articulation during speech production and the actual phones produced by a speaker. Previous AFCPM systems use one discrete density function for each phoneme to model the pronunciation characteristics of speakers. This p...
